I m trying to find out how to identify whether a vinyl i m attempting to buy is a picture disk or not.

Thriller picture vinyl sound quality. Picture disks on vinyls are absolutely horrible. The bass is great every layer of every song is so vivid and fresh. The drums sound great. The result is a vinyl record that typically suffers from increased surface noise and overall lower quality sound.

The records always skip and the sound quality is muffled. Btw i am using a 2m black cartridge. Clear vinyl picture discs and glow in the dark pressings are more susceptible to poor playback. I really love how that guitar sounds towards of jillie bean wow.

Pressing a picture disc is a little different to standard black or colored records. Buy them for the image because the sound is lost in translation. Picture discs are still popular today and depending on who you ask many argue the quality has improved. It s a total hybrid.

This vinyl was sold in millions of copies worldwide and even though most people accredit this to michael s sheer name audiophiles beg to differ namely the thriller sounds so ahead of its time that it could easily pass as a legit quality record by today s standards.
